If you wish to apply, renew or replace your Ethiopian passport, please read the following information carefully.
Important information:
Please note that passport applications can no longer be submitted in person at the Embassy. All applications must be made online via the Digital INVEA website: www.digitalinvea.com.
We, therefore, recommend all prospective customers to visit www.digitalinvea.com for access to passport services (replace, renewals and new applications for kids), which are no longer being offered at the Embassy.

We advise you to bring complete documents and sufficient copies of documents when you visit the Ethiopian Embassy in Berlin’s consular service.

- fill out the form in Amharic and English, and mother or father sign it;
- a copy of the father’s or mother’s Ethiopian passport that has not expired;
- a written application confirming that the mother or father is willing for their child to receive an Ethiopian passport;
- the child’s birth certificate is translated and certified by a notary and the Landgericht (district court) and certified by the embassy for a fee;
- two photos with two ears clearly visible and a white back; a copy of the residence permit of the mother/father and child;
