Currently, the third largest economy in Sub-Saharan Africa and the second most populous nation in Africa, Ethiopia is home to a vibrant, youthful population, ready to engage with and contribute to the global community.

The Embassy is committed to enhance bilateral relations between Ethiopia and the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as the Czech Republic, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia, the Principality of Liechtenstein, the Republic of Lithuania, Republic of Poland, the Slovak Republic and Ukraine. The Government of Ethiopia is implementing fundamental economic and political reforms to promote sustainable economic growth and foster a robust democratic system in the county. These reforms create valuable opportunities for foreign investors to engage in Ethiopia’s growing economy. The Embassy actively collaborates with partners at all levels to advance trade, investment, tourism, and development cooperation.

We also recognize the essential role the Ethiopian diaspora plays in the country’s development and democratization efforts.
